Writing has always been a part of me. It has never mattered whether I'm any good at it or not but it has always been about the personal pleasure I derive from penning my thoughts and feelings. I began keeping a journal when I was in fourth grade and even though I'm into blogging now, it still can’t take the place of putting pen to paper and just letting it all go. And it’s even more inspiring when I have in my hand a great pen and a Moleskine notebook that literally invites me to tell my story.

In this instance, I want to start a separate journal about motherhood in all its uncensored glory. It will be about my journey as a first time mom with all the fun and mishaps included. Being a mother is beautiful and wonderful. There are moments when I feel like bursting into a thousand rainbows from so much love, joy and pride over my son as I watch him grow before my very eyes. But there are also those times when I get so frustrated over his intense physical and emotional needs that I feel like I can’t keep doing this. Writing all of these down will help me take a step back, ponder and figure out what I’ve done right or done wrong and help me become a better parent.
